The opening session will welcome Bernard Charlot for a lecture entitled :
The human being is an adventure. For a contemporary anthropo-pedagogy
On the one hand, we are already facing colossal challenges: ecological, technical, demographic etc. On the other hand, what we tell young people is almost as simple as “study to have a good job later”. On the other hand, what we tell young people is almost as simple as “study to have a good job later”. In these times of anthropological silence and somewhat cynical realism, the time has come to place the human being at the centre of pedagogical thought and practice. But what is human? Based on his latest book, Education or Barbarism, Bernard Charlot proposes an answer, with the ensuing pedagogical consequences: the human being is an adventure.
In closing, among other guests, Laurence De Cock and Philippe Meirieu will draw some conclusions and identify the perspectives for Convergence(s) for New Education.
